Children & Young People (0–25)

A safe, inclusive space where neurodivergent children and young people can thrive, grow and belong.
About
A child explores sensory lighting in a darkened room, with green light patterns projected across their face and clothing. A small glowing light sits nearby, creating a calm, immersive sensory environment.

children & young people at NDC

Every child and young person deserves to feel understood. At NeuroDiverse Community CIC, our experienced team creates safe, sensory-friendly sessions designed around the real needs of neurodivergent young people — not a one-size-fits-all approach.

From creative play and sensory exploration to social skills groups and youth empowerment sessions, every young person is supported as an individual.

We work with children, young carers and young people aged 0–25, with or without a diagnosis.

Individualised support

Every young person who comes to NDC is met where they are. We take the time to understand their needs, interests and communication style – and we build from there. No pressure, no expectations, just genuine support.
A child proudly holds up a completed Easter-themed worksheet during a community activity session. The worksheet shows drawings and writing about animals the bunnies meet on an Easter egg trail. Other people are seated at a table in the background with pens, worksheets and craft materials.
Three children sit around a table in a community room decorating biscuits with icing and sprinkles. Plates, napkins, pens and a large plate of biscuits are on the table, with play equipment and wall displays visible in the background.

Our sessions

Our groups are designed to be fun, inclusive and empowering — helping young people build confidence, friendships and skills at their own pace.

We work together with our children and young people to design and deliver sessions based on what they want. This teaches co-production and how to amplify their voices and be included in decisions.

Our Approach

At NDC, everything we do is shaped by lived experience. Our team of parent carers and specialists use hands-on, inclusive methods to help children and young people thrive — at their own pace.
Children sit together during a hands-on group activity while an adult shows them a small object. One child carefully holds the object as others look on, creating an engaged learning moment in a community or museum-style setting.
