⚽️🥅 YouthAbility (Catterick) World Cup Challenge! 🥅⚽️
England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 V Croatia 🇭🇷 tonight – Who will win?
This week at YouthAbility, we have been celebrating the World Cup in style!
Our young people took part in a fantastic World Cup Penalty Shootout Challenge, putting their football skills to the test while enjoying some friendly competition, teamwork, and plenty of laughter.
It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, cheering each other on, building confidence, and having fun together. Activities like these help create opportunities for friendships to grow, social skills to develop, and positive memories to be made.
A huge well done to everyone who took part – there were some impressive penalties scored and some amazing saves too! 🌟
We love seeing our young people challenge themselves, support one another, and most importantly, enjoy being part of the YouthAbility community.
A group of children and adults stand outside on grass in front of a football goal, holding handmade country flags. Behind them is a colourful “Group Agreement” poster with messages such as “no litter, no bullying,” “have fun,” “join in,” “smile,” and “stay safe.” The scene is outdoors beside a brick building under a bright, cloudy sky.
A large group of children, young people and adults gather indoors for a group photo in front of a blue “Happy Birthday” gaming-themed backdrop. Some children are smiling, posing, chatting or being held, while one person’s face is covered with a pink smiley sticker for privacy. The room has purple walls, chairs and tables to the side, and a bright, lively party atmosphere.
🌟 What a wonderful time we had at Sensory Explorers Catterick this week! 🌟
We had the absolute pleasure of hosting and supporting not one, but TWO birthday celebrations for some of our amazing members. 🎂🎉
For many neurodivergent children, birthday parties and social events can be overwhelming, inaccessible, or simply something they don’t get the opportunity to attend. This can lead to feelings of isolation and missing out on experiences that many take for granted.
At NeuroDiverse Community CIC, we believe every child deserves to celebrate their special day in a way that feels safe, enjoyable, and meaningful to them. We work alongside families to create birthday experiences tailored to each child’s individual needs and preferences.
This week’s celebrations included:
⚽ Sports and games
🎤 Karaoke
💃 Dancing
🍽️ Safe foods and snacks
🎁 Sensory-filled party bags
The smiles, laughter, confidence, and friendships we witnessed reminded us exactly why these opportunities matter so much.
Happy Birthday to our wonderful members – we hope you had the most amazing time celebrating with us! 💙🌈
